Our labor unions are not narrow, self-seeking groups. They have raised wages, shortened hours and provided supplemental benefits. Through collective bargaining and grievance procedures, they have brought justice and democracy to the shop floor. JOHN F. KENNEDY, speech, Aug. 30, 1960

Wow!!!
Today the Wisconsin Assembly passed Walker's bill. The way it was passed is something for the books. There were still 15 speakers on deck to debate about the bill. They also failed to invoke the traditional motion and roll call to signal the end of the debating. The final vote on the bill was 51 to 17 with 28 members not voting. Luckily, it still has to go through the Senate. The 14 Democrats are still in hiding. They have said that they are not returning in till Walker throws out his ban on collective bargaining. It is pretty much creating a fillbuster right now. As one of my BA said today "Wisconsin is our playoffs right now, it is one that we can not afford to loss." So I am asking all my brothers and sisters to join together. When we are called upon we must all join together at our state capital to give our voice to end the bills that Missouri is trying to pass.
